Charity Walk

The Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Charity Walk is held annually on the streets of Coventry, and follows a route that covers roughly 15 km. The walkers take in stops at several Gurudwaras, Mandhirs and Churches, all of which provide welcome refreshments. The age range of the walkers is not a limitation, and if you can walk safely, you are welcome! We are often supported on these events by the renown Sikh marathon runner Sardar Fauja Singh, who is well over 100 years old. The aim of the walk is to raise funds through sponsorship and collections from well wishers en-route. Numbers can vary depending on the weather, and upto 200 participants have joined us in the past.

The event is organised, managed and sterwarded by a group of Sikh Union volunteers, and covered by various local and national media organisations.

Now in its 30th year, the walk aims to raise much-needed funds for various charities supported by Sikh Union at a local, national and international level.
